We have just completed our meeting and training room project at the Jet2 Academy at Leeds & Bradford Airport.
Jet2 approached us and asked for an office partitioning system that will form training and meeting rooms for their pilots and cabin crew. We suggested using the Tenon range from SIG Interiors. This white partitioning framework was installed with Ash veneer doors that have a vision panel in clear glass.
To give the rooms more sense of space and make sure the corridor didn’t feel claustrophobic we used a half glazed partitioning profile – solid 1200mm at the bottom, then single glazed above. A 25mm solid slat blind in white with a wand control is fitted to the inside of the glazing. This offers privacy and light exclusion for presentations within the training and meeting rooms.
The dividing walls are solid partitioning with insulation slab to the cavity – the difference with slab as opposed to insulation quilt is that you are able to achieve better sound reduction as the slab has a denser properties. The plaster boards are finished in a wide vinyl in white.
Other refurbishment works included modifying the existing air conditioning to suit the new layout. The carpet was changed to a 500mm x 500mm heavy contract loop pile tile in light blue.
