150 year old mill turned into beautiful office space

Glazed offices in ShipleyDuring January and February of 2016, our team have been working at an old mill in Shipley creating a superb office area which incorporates the building’s heritage within the design.

After a recommendation by a local builder, the client viewed our website before contacting our team to request a number of works to be completed as they moved into the 150 years old building.

As part of the 1st floor office refurbishment, Rodley Interiors were asked to help them split the area into useable zones, retaining as much of the open plan feel. The design includes full height partitioning which is linked into the historical steel columns, and new partitioning sections. The final result is an office area which includes a new meeting for clients and a state-of-the-art boardroom.

Ongoing partitioning works

As previously mentioned, the building has lots of quirky features from its milling days so Rodley Interiors suggested
9006 silver partitioning to match existing steel columns, combing history and modern partitioning systems. The partitioning also acts as a barrier from the kitchen with there being no door at all, just a gap to walk around.

The client was delighted with the completed works which provides the space needed, the modern necessities to represent their company, as well as the retention of the historical elements of the building.
