Specialised Industrial Partitioning
Rodley Interiors have recently completed a project installing industrial partitioning, for a nationwide electrical manufaturer. The firmly recognised organistation provide broadcast mixing consoles and equipment.
The organisation required additional office space for staff due to the fast progression within the industry, and appointed Rodley Interiors to carry out the works. The difference with installing partitioning to an industrial space rather than an office often is the high ceiling level. This can be a challenge when deciding which system is most suitable. We chose a solid glass system, with the partitioning transom installed to door head height. Additional plasterboards were then fitted above to a height of 3600mm. The glazing was single glazed with black glazing bead detail.
Industrial Partitioning specification
In keeping with the feel of the space this industrial partitioning was supplied in Satin Anodised Aluminum, this also matched existing partitioning installed to the workplace. To complement SAA framework the plasterboards were finished off with an off-blue vinyl.
The partitioning system installed was Tenon Fire and Sound in a 75mm finish. A 75mm system is ideal for an industrial space due to its high sound retention qualities. For warehouse spaces where manufacturing equipment is used which omits excessive noise this system or a 100mm system is ideal. To keep sound travel to a minimum additional insulation can be fiited above the ceiling level and between the plasterboard cavity. Standard height single and double door sets were also fitted to match existing doors installed. The Oak doors featured vision panels and Satin Stainless Steel handle lock and latch sets.
