Glass partitioning systems are not only suitable for the office environment, glazing systems can be used to divide a leisure or gym space. With many gyms and workout spaces having more and more equipment and a requirement for segreated spaces, partitioning is a perfect choice to help create the desired areas. As part of our recent West Yorkshire fit out and refurbishment project of a serviced office space our client has requested we do just that.
During our refurbishment of the serviced office building, a Health and Well-being centre was also constructed, enabling occupants of the centre to have a stress free and healthy space away from their desks and office environment. The leisure space was vast, and there was a requirement to divide the area into 2 forming a gym with equipment and a spacious studio.
The dividing wall had be non-obtrusive and ensure the areas didnt feel too segregated. We chose to install a frameless glass partitioning system. Frameless glass partitioning is a streamline system, with narrow framework and clear dry joints between the panes of the glass. The glass partitioning was built up to the mirrored wall which is a clever and simple way to maximise the feel and appearance of the space. To allow users of the health and well-being centre to travel into each space a striking frameless glass door was fitted to oneside of the partition, full height to add effect and style. In compliance with health and safety requirements the glass dividing wall had to feature a manifestation film. A detailed and intricate film was designed and applied to the glass in both colour and opal frost.
Glass partitioning used within a leisure space such as this enables a tranquil yet motivating environment and is a simple and cost-effective way of segregating workout spaces which would suit all users of the centre.
