A bespoke office design and build which features striking frameless glass partitioning, feature walnut cross grain doors and new office interiors to create a new inspiring workspace for Pen Underwriting.
Designing an office for a leading Insurance firm
Rodley Interiors were awarded this exciting and bespoke project from West Midlands, Insurance firm Pen Underwriting. The 8000 sq.ft area was blank canvas before our installation which provided us with the scope to create an innovative exciting work environment for our client. The commercial space was on the 13th floor in the heart of Birmingham City Centre, with panoramic views from the full height glass windows this is certainly a desirable place to work.
Innovative design was at the forefront of this installation. The space itself being a blank open canvas gave our design team a fantastic opportunity to add the company’s ethos and flare at every point. The colour scheme, materials used and even the lighting was meticulously thought out making this a striking and innovative place to work. A main design feature was the combination of materials used, from rich walnut office doors to glazing with eye-catching window film. We wanted to maximise the fantatic views over the city and we therefore fitted the meeting rooms to one side of the area only, leaving the majority of the desking open plan. Keeping the colour pallette simple was key purple hues and greens complimented the grey flooring.
Materials and products we used
This project gave us the opportunity to design a workspace using a combination of materials. Each product we used was sustainibly sourced and mirrored the companies theme. A frameless glass partitioning system was installed around the kitchen and breakout area. We also fitted a glass door on a manet style sliding track which is use and space friendly. We used a number of different offlice flooring finishes from practical heavy duty carpet tiles to parque flooring. The office fit out Birmingham also featured stiking coloured window film to add constrast and style.
Shaped around Staff
As the area would be mainly used for staff this was the main focus in the layout of workspace. We created an open plan design with multiple desks that could be used for hot-desking with the rotation of staff. Around the perimeter of the building we fitted the main offices in meeting rooms. To ensure confidentially for this Office Fit Out Birmingham within the meeting rooms these were created using both glass and solid partitioning.
