Case Study: Industrial Glass Partitions in Leeds

Location:Leeds, West Yorkshire

Building:2 storey office block

Date:February 2021

This project shows the installation of striking black framed glass partitioning giving a newly acquired office space an industrial and modern feel.

The Project Brief

A Leeds based up and coming recruitment company appointed Rodley Interiors to supply and install Industrial Glass Partitions to their newly acquired office space. The glass partitioning install formed part of a larger fit out project, with a complete refurbishment of the space including new office flooring, suspended ceiling installation, electrical and data works, decoration and the install of a new office kitchen. The brief for the project was create 1 large open plan multi-use office space, 1 spacious boardroom large enough for a 8 person meeting, 1 large office and a practical store room. In contrast to the industrial glass partitions the store room was formed using solid partitions with black skirting detail and black door handles to match. The project took 3 weeks to complete and has created a stylish and practical office space that is in keeping with current office design trends.

In keeping with the current design trend we fitted a black framed glass partitioning system which created this striking banded effect. The glass panels themselves were single glazed, and were manufactured in equal sizes giving  a proportionate and together look. With solid black framework the glazing itself was the feature of the space, maximising on the generous amounts of natural light the workplace had to offer. The profile of the industrial glass partitions also featured floor to ceiling height single glazed frameless glass doors. Each individual door was fitted with black door furniture.

Project Details

Working effortlessly well with the industrial glass partitions is the eye-catching flooring. The carpet tile chosen was a deep grey with the darker faded border adding a real sense of simple style to the space. To create the faded effect 3 different carpet tiles were fitted, the faded section is a detailed narrow stripe which then leads onto the solid black tile. External window blinds were fitted in a light grey matching with the lighter carpet tile. The office kitchen features jet black worktops and clean looking white gloss doors.
